Who They Forgot

Someone is missing. You can’t remember who. As if through foggy glass, you struggle to make out the details. You trace your finger around the shape of the absence. You fail to find the clarity you crave. To fill in the gaps, you’ll need a little help.

There are more questions than you will ever be able to answer, but you insist upon asking them anyway: When? Where? Why? And, most importantly, who?

Who They Forgot is a game about creating a mystery and then solving it. Players discover the timeline, setting, events, and their own characters through drawing cards and responding to prompts. Many of the prompts focus on fleshing out the knowledge and perspective of each player character as they pertain to the mystery of the Forgotten; other prompts add detail to the world; some prompts require the players to make hard choices about difficult truths.

You will need the following materials to play Who They Forgot:

• One full (78 card) tarot deck. Cards may be physical or digital, but you must be able to sort and shuffle them by suit.
• One sheet of notes for each player.
• One sheet of notes for the Forgotten.
